The Cary Institute is offering a special public lecture by world-renowed
conservation biologist Dr. Stuart Pimm. His talk will explore
the role that carbon offsets can play in protecting land and curbing
biodiversity loss.
A Doris Duke Professor of Conservation Ecology at Duke University,
Dr. Pimm is an expert on endangered species conservation, biodiversity,
species extinctions, and habitat loss. He has authored over 200
scientific publications and four books, including the critically
acclaimed "The World According to Pimm: a Scientist Audits the
